Right before Christmas, floor plans for the new units at 450 Hayes debuted with lots of angles and shapes. Now, sales have officially started. The four-story building comes from DDG who has been active around the neighborhood over the past few years. It was designed by Handel Architects and sits at the heart of Hayes Valley. We don’t have a full price list yet, but one-bedrooms start at about 620 square feet and prices start in the $900,000’s.

There are 41 total units, including five that are below market rate. They range from one to three bedrooms and sit around a courtyard designed by Marta Fry Landscape Associates. There are wide-plank oak floors from a Benedictine monastery in Austria, high-end finishes, and a rooftop lounge. Downstairs there will eventually be a restaurant from Adriano Pagnini, the prolific restauranteur behind places like Belga, Lolinda, Delarosa, and Super Duper Burger.
